The Awá Guajá people hunt monkeys from the jungle. They depend on this meat as their only protein source. Also, all the families from the village have a pet monkey. They take care of it as if it was their own child; they even breastfeed the pet monkeys. The film shows a mother eating a baked monkey leg while caressing a baby monkey that sits on her head.

She says: "What you take from the jungle, you have to give back."
